I hope you enjoy these crosswords. They are in the British cryptic style. Some are straightforward, others may have a little gimmick here and there. The preamble will in most cases explain whats going on.
On each individual crosswords page is a link to its solution, at the bottom of the left-hand navigation links bar thing.
18: (This was previously, and very kindly, published on Neil Shepherds site.) There is a slight gimmick which should become apparent as you work through it.
AskOxford Pastiche: (I enjoy the monthly crossword on the AskOxford website from the Oxford University Press. This is NOT one of theirs, but one Ive written in their style. Youll find it easier if youre familiar with the way they sometimes do things!)
Authors: A fairly standard barred-grid crossword.

Actually, a note about the AskOxford crossword page (if anyone from the OUP happens upon this site!): they used to put the preamble (instructions) on the printer-friendly crossword page as well as the online crossword page, but seem to have forgotten recently. It would help (those of us who solve the crossword offline) to start doing that againin the meantime we have to select and separately print the instructions. Plus, they used to be monthly, but they seem to get uploaded a bit later each month: perhaps theyre having trouble? Sometimes theres a problem with the puzzle applet or a mistake in the clues for the first few days, too. Still, its all made up for by the ingenuity of the puzzle itself!
